Renovation and Extension of Mill House

This house had a distict character, which ourselves and the owners were keen to retain, while creating a comfortable dwelling more suited to modern living.

We were extremely fortunate to be recommended to approach Steve Garten Builders for a quotation for the substantial renovation of our home. From our initial meeting our instincts advised us to choose them based on from their very professional approach and attitude. This was even before they submitted a very competitive quotation for the work.
It is a very emotive time having your home renovated/rebuilt and it is crucial that we felt able to discuss fully all aspects and understand what was happening and why. Dale, son of Steve Garten works and stays on site throughout ensuring work progresses smoothly and provides advice on works not envisaged, so no shocks around the corner await. Our ideas/thoughts were supported and guided – eg. in that a chimney breast is not just a chimney breast but can be enhanced through their experience at no greater cost to create a lovely stylish chimney with their imaginative use of bricks. The experience they have in building/renovation was absolutely marvellous and gave us the opportunity to sleep at night. The renovations works and extension were completed on schedule.
Looking back, we cannot believe what has been achieved by using Steve Garten Builders and in particular Dale’s experience and hands on approach to everything certainly supported the whole project through.
One year on since completion, we would have no hesitation to recommend Dale and Team of (Steve Garten Builders) to friends and family for any works to be done.
